When I 1st DLed it and played it everything was fine but when I play it again a few min. later and my car looks...black (well were the light is hitting it anyways). when im goin down the back straight my cockpit is all black and so is my car except for the RR corner and I think I also see light reflecting off the black too.

A lot of people experience that, sometimes you will get it. Don't know if there is a solution, maybe try turning down your graphics, but it's still fun wrecking people without knowing who they are =p

As a track builder, MrNorm may know more about this, but I think there is a setting used by the creator of the track that sets the vehicle reflections. You may be able to hack to change it, but you might not want to risk breaking the track requiring a re-download. On top of that setting, the weather comes into play, which is why the cars are sometime black and sometimes not.
There is an in-game setting that you can use to get rid of it, I believe. It might be as simple as unchecking Options / Graphics / Reflections on Cars.
There is another track used at HGWwhich has this effect. I think it's Talladega Hump, or whatever SS track you drive between the gigantic mountains after the first turn. However, there, the cars don't look black -- they glow a nice, radioactive orange. Creepy.

I like the fact of not knowing you wreck if the car is completely black. I say keep it the same way for ONLINE. Now offline, you might wanna change it

The problem is well known. The light settings weren't set right when the track was made and it can't be changed now. Sometimes the cars are all black and sometimes they look fine.

Atlanta Superspeedway and Lowes SS Jump have cars with a Purple or Blue haze as well. I don't remember for sure, but I believe Atlanta Tornado may have that tint as well. And, now that I think about it, Alabama Wreckers Speedway. I can't remember for sure. But yea, it is freaky. Norm has got some freaky edits in tracks. Indy NIFN is a true "Brickyard", Mayhem has no walls, Bristol Walls, which is basically a "dome", Bristol Black, which has no lighting, Daytona 80 overlook (80 degree banking, and a plateau in the middle of the backstretch infield.) Just a lot of weirdly cool stuff. Ooh. Michican Volcano. One of the (personally) freakier edits of a track.
