Here are the rules we expect everyone to abide by while on the server(s):
1. No Wrecking Before The Starting Line. This Includes Excessive Bumping Before The Start Line That Could Cause A Wreck Or Make Someone Angry Enough Causing Them To Bump Back, Thus Causing A Wreck. The Occasional Jossel Between Regulars Is OK As Long As It Does Not Interfere With Start.
2. No Wrecking In Pits During Any Race, This Includes The Pit Entry And The Pit Exit. Any Driver That Breaks This Rule May Be Subject To Penalties. It Is The Drivers Responsibility To Know The Limitations Of Their Pitting Ability And If You Cause Someone To Lose Positions By Pit Wrecking Them You May Have To Pay The Price.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Below Are Not Official Rules But Are Frowned On Severely As All The Long Time HGW Members Have Seen Enough Of It To Know Some Things, It's Old, Annoying And None Of Us Like It. If We See It On A Regular Basis, Don't Be Surprised If You Get Ejected For It. These Apply Mainly In Race But May Apply In Practice Also If It Get's Out Of Hand.
1. Sandbagging - Sandbagging is what we call it when a driver goes slower then everyone else and then tries to wreck cars going by, especially the leaders. If an Admin or Boss suspects someone of Sandbagging they may decide to pit and watch replay to see if they are. If your engine is blown and smoking, PIT and try and get it fixed. If your engine is blown and no longer running (Zero RPMs) you can stay on track if you can keep your car moving but let EVERYONE KNOW your engine is totally blown, otherwise some may think your sandbagging and you may get ejected. If your car is running good then wreck others like you "Have A Pair" and don't be going slower just so cars can catch you and you turn into them. We've seen more then enough and we're tired of it.
2. Track Sitting (or going back and forth [apron to wall] on track. - Cars just sitting on track to be an obstical is not welcome, if you have a need to leave your racing area then park it well off the track or retire (don't just pit, your car can move into anothers pit box causing them to not get fuel) but DO NOT SIT ON TRACK. If your getting wrecked (like in a short track) let people know your trying to get moving again. If, like on a SW or SS track and admin sees a car on the track two or more laps, they may question you, have you move your car or just eject you if they feel it's in the way of traffic. The best thing to do is plain and simple DON'T TRACK SIT! (Blown Engines With No Power Are Exempt, They Are Allowed To Sit On Track but Let Everyone Know Your Engine Has No Power)
3. In a league race (or Long Race) you cannot duck into the the pits to avoid getting hit if cars are catching up to you, (only cowards do that. If you enter the pits then you MUST PITs, you cannot just drive through unless it's a game penalty, and remember, I save replays and use Replay Analyzer to check BFs and how many times people pit. If you are the leader and are are found to be ducking into pits to avoid getting wrecked, you will receive a Penalty of 5 Laps Lost and 50 Points, it's that simple. (Use The WALL Luke)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Items Below Are Acceptable, With Limitations.
1. Going The Wrong Direction On Any Track During Race Is Ok As Long As The Driver Gets DQed In The Process. The Purpose Of Going Backwards Of Course Is To Run Head On Into OnComing Cars At Full Speed. This Is Fine, Just Make Sure You Get DQ In The Process. Driving In Reverse on the other hand can be considered Sandbagging so don't do that.
NOTE: If You Don't See An Admin Or Boss On The Server, That Does Not Mean Their Not On There. Some Have Been Known To Jump On Server Incognito To Make Sure The Rules Are Adhered Too.
The Above Rules Supersede (or enhance) any others I have posted.
