Shoot...I deleted a post I made by accident... Here it is again. If you play this drag racing sim can you post your user name. We can give each other challenges that way. Here's a run I made in a tournament meet I entered, this win got me into the semi-final round, I should be doing that later tonite. I run in the low 9s and high 8 sec range now.

Geez, I must have been really bored to write all this....
So after a week or so of doing this game/sim I thought I'd give my impressions of it.
First off, it's a game trying to be a sim, don't be misled buy that statement because for me a real sim will cost a person $50000 like the ones you see at NASA or Boeing, so keeping that in mind I just refer to this as a sim.
It does a good job at drag racing in that every pass you make can be different. I get the feeling that each time you log in the track parameters vary a little bit so that you have to double check your gear setting and stuff, just enough to throw you a little but still keep it under control.
This sim it mainly about BRACKET RACING, what is Bracket Racing you say? Here's a good explanation I gleened form the web:
Bracket Racing is a way of handicapping drag racing so that you don't need a super face pro-race car to win.
In a bracket race each driver picks a "dial-in" and the winner is the driver who gets closest to his/her elected "dial-in", therefore someone with a 20 second car can (and frequently does) beat someone with a 14 second car, despite being 6 seconds slower on the 1/4 mile!
In short, Bracket Racing is a way of making drag racing "fair" so that it's not just the person with the most money that wins, it's driver skill, knowledge of your car and consistency that wins...
To start with you get one free car (the Project Z) and from there you can add parts and do solo runs down the 1/4 miles track for points (points are like money in the sim) If your new you'll want to learn how to DIAL-IN your car good first. To DIAL-IN a car is to go down the track several times and take note of your E.T. (Elapsed Time) and your RT (reaction time). If you make 5 passes (runs down the track) and your E.T. is 15.0255 every time your will want to set your Dial-In to like 15.252 or so. Each pass you make may be different so if you do 10 passes pick a dial-in number you won't go faster then. If you go faster then your Dial-In it's called BREAKING OUT and if you break out in a race it means YOU LOSE.
A couple other things are setting your gears for the fastest shift points to maximize your torque and horse power while NOT SPINNING THE TIRES. When you first get on the track you are in what they call the WATER BOX, in the water box you can burn rubber all you want in order to heat up the tires, this gives better traction when you actually pull up to the TREE (yellow and green lights). Don't launch at 7000 rpm, launch at between 2500 and 3500 rpm +-500. (I launch at 3850 or so) Set your first gear so that it does not break loose (burn out) when you launch from the tree.
There's more of course and Street Challenge does have a help page.
Bottom line, it's a fun sim that can be real frustrating at times but it does hold the feeling pretty dern good for Bracket Racing. Considering it's free I don't think you can do much better right now, in a drag sim that is....

If you get on and do passes daily in Street Challange look up the team "GSS RACING" It's the one I started for us. We only have like 6 (or so) active members but we went from very last place to 11th (maybe 10th or 9th now) in less then 3 weeks.
Most time online and biggest points getter for us is AustinRacing but WE ALL GET ON DAILY and add to the kitty. You can race a lot more when your on a team and you have double the Speed Tourneys you can do.
Enjoy.
